When I was a younger teen I used to hate anything longer than six minutes so to expect a drop and to think of Flim as boring can be argued as a by-product of developing taste.... I hope.

He really does have something unique stuff going on for being that popular. I honeslty am starting to respect him (even thought I'm pretty sure he's a douche irl). I've exposed myself to his discography. This is hard to say, but I like him, but don't like him on the same level I like Boc or Bibio. But you all should really admire the sheer complexity of his music. It would really take a lot of time to get to his level of skill and perfection at programming/mastering and all that stuff. But no matter what there's still going to be people who hate him unconditionally.

You guys know that he used to be the vocals in this band right?
I had a few friends way into them at the time. They were upset about him leaving the band to work on solo stuff.

Wasn't quite ready for what I heard when I listened to a pretty noisy track of his last year, but seeing this thread bounce around made me give it another go.
I've since been on a youtube binge and think Skrillex possesses insane production skills with a great sense of melody. You won't see me wearing a pacifier at a club anytime soon but it's great to see musical boundaries be pushed like this. I don't particular know much of anything about electro-house, progressive, dub-step, etc.

16 million views..oh bollocks! I still prefer 813, Slugabed, Tes La Rok etc though..brostep isn't really my thing. But hey, kid is rich as fuu now so good for him! He is being played constantly at mainstream radios even here in Finland. This kinda sums it up for me when talking about Skrillex

It wasn't intended to make you look like an asshole, it was purely intended for humor.
