Kathys song always gets me a bit teary haha. Reminds me of missing my then girlfriend.

Yeah that's the one! Those vocal trills are tear-enducing. On movie Baraka, that song is associated with people from 3rd world countries living in garbage. Makes it even more heart-breaking.
Btw, the name of the band is Dead Can Dance. I don't think they ever released anything else as powerful as this.

Cry as in sad: "Goodbye My Lover" and "No Bravery", both by James Blunt.
Cry as in happy: "Echus" by BoC and "Rivers Arms" by Balmorhea.

Returning I & II from "A Blessing of Tears" by Robert Fripp almost moved me to tears couple of times. I rarely listen to the whole album because of its mood. Same with the piece called "On My Mother's Birthday", very ambiguous: frightening and beautiful at the same time. Also:

Bjork: Pagan Poetry/Aurora/Harm of Will...well, actually everything she sings on "Vespertine".

Also made popular by Terrence Malick's film Tree Of Life with all that amazing Douglas Trumbull visual work in the "birth of creation/life/the universe sequence.

Powerful stuff.

Always On My Mind, particularly the Willie Nelson version. It manages to perfectly capture a particular sentiment that no other love/relationship song does.

Every time...

When Logics Die by Soulwax. Was driving up to Newcastle back in January to see my dying Mum, less than 24 hours after being told she was dying. This is the third track on the Much Against Everyone's Advice album and when the strings kicked in around 2:35 the tears were coming down so hard I almost had to pull over as I could barely see. It will always take me back to how I felt then, which is both a bad and a good thing.

For similar reasons, this version of Videotape by Radiohead will forever be 2 days before she passed away. As I said at the time, Thom said it better than I ever could.
