pretty typical experience from what i've seen. i've actually realized there are about 100 videos on youtube of people trying it (i think michael phelps was in there somewhere
). crazy shit nonetheless. but way too expensive for me anyway.
the first time i tried it was about 5 years ago with a group of friends--none of us had any clue what it was, we just bought it at a smoke shop for my buddies birthday. we went to Pottawatomie Bingo Casino in Milwaukee (I know, lame.) and a group of five of us sat in the front row with about 3,500 old women chain smoking virginia slims. a very weird atmosphere. we rolled a couple 'joints' of it and lit up--smoking cigs was allowed inside, and salvia is/was legal at the time, so we didn't think much of it. anyway, nothing really happened besides some crack head lady walking past thought we were smoking weed because of the smell and made a bit of a scene...we later found out it's necessary to rip a bong of it to get the full effects. i've tried it 'successfully' several times since, but probably never will again. (doses are cheaper). needless to say though, if it HAD worked, there is not a doubt in my mind that we would have been locked up for good. tripping up in front of 3,500 people is probably enough to make a man lose his mind.

I love moments like that. When the high is just in the background for the rest of the day. I had that when I survived a weekend of intens smoking at some friends, and then just before I went back home I ate a small peice of space-cake. The ride back home was incredibly laid back with The Campfire Headphase coming out of the speakers while enjoying the scenery.
Good times.

Yeah I have too! A little Salvia here and there too - thanks to some friends that are on spring break already, hittin that bong all day long!
I can't afford the stuff right now though - I'm quite broke and need to make rent =(

no not that, it's that thing where you take this one word...fuck me i can't remember which one... and you take all the sounds in it and you replace them with letters that make the same sounds in particular situations so that it forms a completely different word, but you pronounce it like the original word it started out as. i thought that was something that was popularized in the phish community
