A little while ago I announced a project that was a collaborative effort between myself, Synthestesia and Kamas on this board. I linked you guys to a couple of demos and there was a moderate amount of feedback expressing interest in the project.

Well, after 3 months of development that untitled project to make an EP has turned into a full album called Simulate Televangelist. It features a very layered, varied sound that ranges from dynamic psychedelia-sounding breakbeat driven tracks, to emotional and minimal ambient tracks, to danceable walls of sound and to heavy post-industrial beats. This album pays as much attention to percussion as it does to melody, something that seems to be relatively uncommon with independent electronic musicians for some odd reason, and as such a lot of the percussion is very layered and manipulated. It has a sort of progression to it as well and it definitely tells some sort of story, however the details of that story aren't quite clear. You'll hear the familiar Powernap, Kinesthetiac and Kamas/Nyetscape vibes that feature on our solo work, but as a whole this album offers something quite different. I'm pretty satisfied with it and would love for you to give it a listen, if you're interested.

The point of the thread was to inform the people who had expressed interest in it before that it was coming, not to self-promote this often and confidently. I know you and Kamas are excited as am I but it's kind of inappropriate considering the recent events on this site.

I'm sorry man I wasn't being serious in anyway. I really didn't think it would bother anyone, and I didn't think there would be people who wouldn't see the ridiculous satire in the statement. I understand where you are coming from though the fact that you posted this is a bit ridiculous given that you could have just told me on skype and I would have edited it. Also the "recent events" thing wasn't needed.

I understand, and no there was no way this was going to turn into that unless I premeditatedly self-promoted.

Come on, guys. Let's calm down and love one another. I'm really excited to hear the release, and I'm sure that sentiment is shared by others here.

Continuing in the line of what Pianoforte said, I got to hear the project today and even though there's a bit of foolery going on inside of this thread, the record is absolutely astonishing in million different ways and is probably my favorite Twoism-collective collaboration project I've heard come out of this forum.

I'm really enjoying the Simulate Televangelist release. I could definitely see it as the soundtrack to some sort of gritty cyberpunk dystopia-type film ala Blade Runner.

Well, just got done listening to the album.

Great work, guys. I can definitely hear everyone's influence shining through. Hope there will be more to come in the future at some point.

Now they HAVE to watch Bladerunner. I've been talking non-stop about noir-esque and cyberpunk films too them.
