What exactly is wrong with them playing at lollapalooza? Although it doesn't seem likely.

One very important thought though is that if anyone needs to hear boards of canada it those poor brainwashed fools at lollapalooza 8)

Brainwashed fools? Some of my favorite artists have played at lollapalooza, for example: Kaskade, Nero, Madeon, Zedd, Porter Robinson.

There are no 'brainwashed fools' at lollapalooza, everyone has their own taste in music. Don't know why someone who enjoys Lil Wayne or Nicki Minaj has to be called brainwashed, because it's all just a matter of personal opinion.

Do you actually have the evidence to affirm that someone is born innately with a musical preference? Or that intelligence ultimately informs musical opinion?

Though I would like to say that generally in my experience stupid people have awful taste in music- that's definitely not true for everyone though.

But yeah Nicki Minaj sucks. And Lil Wayne is awful too. And don't give me that "all music taste is relative" bullshit because if you actually weigh in on these artists based on musical potential- they have none. The lyrics are shit. The music is horribly overproduced crap. There's nothing artistic about it, and it's uninspired. I'd say that the criteria for music being good requires AT LEAST one of these traits.

I agree, but I know people who listen to music such as lil waynes' (although I think him and his music is crap) they aren't all that bad. I'm not trying to pull some bullshit or defend these artist but I really don't see the point in unsulting them and their fans. They aren't necessarily brainwashed, they just aren't what I would call, as musically educated as others. I've accepted the fact that complaining about these artists (which I used to do plenty) isn't going to change the fact that people enjoy them.

Although I'm sure a few of these big name artists like Justin Beiber or David Guetta (whom I also do not care for) are actually fairly nice people if you knew them personally.
