"May 2012 - U.S. DOE budget reports mention funding in FY2012 for the 'Pollux Subcritical Experiment,' which was elaborated in a May 2012 report titled 'Supplement to Department of Energy Activities Relating to the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, Fiscal Year 2011 Site-Specific Activities.'

Kinda Nuclear Dawn'ish stuff.

I wouldn't rule out the nuclear theme at all, but I think there is an ecological theme underpinning all the imagery. Maybe we could call it post-apocolyptic, who knows what sort of apocalypse, nuclear holocaust, global warming... what's the difference? "Tomorrow's harvest" looks pretty barren (yerma).

Cyclosa is a type of spider, (they seem to specialise in making decoys and camoflague out of the emptied out remains of their prey!) but I can't find reference to a white cyclosa, or cyclosa alba/album. Cyclosa could mean cycle, a circular network or web.

Jacquard causeway is intriguing. Jacquard could easily refer to the type of intricately patterned, quasi-geometric textiles, or it could refer to a french intellectual who writes extensively on ecology, championing the view that the world would be a better place if we scaled back our ambition, worked and consumed less, spent more time listening to ambient breakbeat and obsessively researching the significance of the smallest details of future albums from our favourite artists. This guy also wrote extensively about genetics in human populations as well, and in this context a causeway could be a reference to the prehistoric intermingling of humans made possible by the changing levels of the sea, for example, two hundred thousand years ago England and France were joined by land, which predates humans, but in other areas of the globe, now disconnected land-masses will have only become so recently.

Uritual has no meaning afaik.

Semena Mertvykh seems to translate to Dead Seeds, in Russian and Slavonic tongues.

I'm feeling this too. "Dead Seeds" makes me think of those genetically modified sterile seeds Monsanto makes, which is some creepy stuff. Keep thinking about how natural functions are being taken over by corporations, nature being hijacked for profit, that fits well with the Jacquard reference.

I think it's just interesting because they are brothers as well, although gemini is twins, they're always male.

hopefully a nuke doesnt go off before I get to hear this album.
