Well, I'm sat here listening to TCH and I have just had, what I can only describe as a 'euphoric' moment. It always happens with Tears from the Compound Eye, just complete and utter nirvana, I've tried meditation but this is far better, it's sheer joy in it's purest form. I only get it from BoC, funnily enough. I'm really looking forward to this new album, as there could be another moment awaiting me. Anyone else experienced this 'Nirvana'?

I know what you mean, I get that with Tears From a Compound Eye a lot too. Kind of like a feeling of expansion, at one with all of the universe. I get a similar feeling when I listen to Olson, but different, that feeling is more one of being wrapped up in a cocoon. Man I love BoC .

Tears From the Compound Eye does the same thing to me

5-9-78 has always put me into a complete trance in the best way possible. I almost feel like I'm swimming through my own nostalgia. It's hard to describe. I also don't do any sort of drugs, which I have to say makes that track even more magical.

The transitions between the two different recurring sections on Open The Light to this date gate me pretty giddy.

Is it cheating if I wasn't completely sober during my euphoric moment? Either way, one of the highlights of my life came shortly after drinking psilocybin tea. I put on my headphones, closed my eyes, and listened to MHTRTC from beginning to end. The synergy between the music and the drug was beyond anything I had ever experienced before on any substance. It was perfect, godly, otherworldly, and euphoric. The synesthesia during Telephasic Workplace was both awe-inspiring and frightening, in a good way! During Turquoise Hexagon Sun my visual field began to envelop into itself, turn completely white, and then reemerge with brilliant colors, all in a perfectly symmetrical pattern that mimicked the sound of the music. This enveloping/reemerging of reality continued throughout the track. It isn't easy to describe what I was seeing but as I was experiencing this I also felt and saw brightly colored streaks of energy dance and stream up and down my chakra. The universe was with me that night.

In case the purpose of this thread was to describe euphoric moments strictly from the music itself, then one of my most memorable sober euphoric moments came the first time I listened to Olsen. BoC makes me euphoric regularly, in fact. I am not one of those people that thinks you need drugs in order to enjoy certain types of music. I love BoC just as much sober as I would under the influence of something. This just happens to be my own personal experience, and I do not condone drug use or any other illegal activity. (I have to say that, right)?

I love this part and it was the definitive moment that got me into them. It was the second song I heard by them after stumbling across Aquarius on napster while looking for Age of Aquarius from Hair haha. Kind of random way to get into a group. But that part in Open the Light still does it for me.

Telephasic Workshop does something to my brain. I find it really hypnotic and I feel like I'm on a mild dose of shrooms. Especially that "th-th-this is is eh eh eh uh eh" part.

Once I saw a rainbow while listening to ROYGBIV and it was pretty magical.

Basically MHTRTC is drugs for me I guess haha. I can think of a million moments though, music is primarily a euphoric experience for me and boc push my buttons the most.

i had mine on an analogue of mescaline. looked at my friends tower light and it felt like this warmth and euphoria was just growing in my chest as the song reached its crescendo.

The first two times (one shortly after the other) I did nitrous while on acid were some of the most extreme moments of my life... completely sucked in to an ego-less state of mind... felt like I was a god of a black hole ore something. Can't describe it, of course, but it's hard to imagine getting any additional stimulus from music and it making sense.

probably about 6 years ago, i was driving home from playing disc golf with some friends.


i basically had the strongest natural trip i ever had in my life. it felt like i was tripping on mushrooms, but i hadnt done anything. i am a heavy pot smoker, but the feeling i was having wasnt being caused from smoking.



i really cant describe what i felt. i just remember driving home with my friends, and the sun was setting. the song that was playing was sixtyniner. and basically that song will forever remind me of that night, and the feelings i had.



a lot of BOC's music seems to put me under a spell. when i hear songs like, a moment of clarity, ataronchronon, heard from the telegraph lines, under the coke sign. i really cant describe what i feel.

its almost like the entire world kind of slows down, and you truly realize and grasp the present moment. its hard to explain the feelings exactly though, its kind of like a really beautiful heartache.
