nah, not really. But I do think it is FUCKING INCREDIBLE. I've listened to it over 100x already. It's like an amalgamation of all his albums rolled into one, im hearing some of the old school synths he used on Pretty Hate Machine throughout too which is awesome. If music was mankind, Trent Reznor would be the messiah. Guy is legend.

Absolutely in LOVE with this track! Another solid release in the line of awesome music that arrived this year..def has a Pretty Hate Machine/With Teeth sorta mashup vibe, really dig it! Can't wait to hear the album, gonna try and make it to either the Montreal or Toronto show this October

yeah agreed, definitly a cool album, a little too experimental and left field song arrangement wise for me though, I couldn't listen to it too too often, as opposed to Silent Shout.

Same here. I am really disappointed it didn't work out with Adrian Belew , though. I was very interested to hear what he would have added to the NIN sound for the tour.

Long time NIN fan every since first discovering Pretty Hate Machine on cassette at a backwoods Radio Shack in 1989.

Trent could do no wrong with me.. up until... this new song (ok, I didn't like The Slip much).

This is the first time in my life I've looked at myself and thought, "Damn, I'm getting old" because I know I'd like it if I was my younger self.

It just doesn't work for me any more and on one level, that's sad.

I was hoping for a new direction. Didn't TR have a tweet or post or something that said he was excited about NIN's new direction? Where is it?

FWIW, I absolutely adore Alessandro Cortini and his solo modular/Buchla work. Love, love, love that. Was hoping that might have been more of the direction they were headed. But the lyrics, my god. I just can't do it any more.

Yeah, I mean Trent has always made decent music, and this song is alright. But his work that I really enjoy like The Downward Spiral and The Fragile, I feel came from a time when he had a lot more emotion to put into the songs. I'm glad he's much happier now I'm sure and doesn't have so many problems, but damn did he put out some great stuff when he was angry and depressed.

Not really feeling this track but I didn't like The Hand That Feeds but really grew to like the With Teeth album. It's good to hear the trademark heavily layered and processed guitar and vocals again. I agree the drums and synths sound a bit like Chemical Brothers' Push The Button/We Are The Night era stuff.

Holy shit that track is amazing. This year is the most epic year for music ever.

Yeah not feeling this one, the chorus is kinda lame to me. Still interested in hearing the album though. Trent still is a talented dude, I enjoyed The Social Network OST so that gives me some hope.

Not feeling this so much. Feels like I've heard it all before. Maybe needs a little time...

I do agree with you here. Huge NIN fan in the past myself (had most of the halos plus 1997 vhs closure tape) but the lyrics are a bit embarrassing for my age and im turning 23 later this year. Year Zero lyrics were alright because it was a concept album and even With_Teeth had decent lyrics but the slip and now this song have had very uninspired lyrics.

I'd have to say I've always found Trent's lyrics a bit cheesey, with a few exceptions, but still the music and production usually make up for it.

To be honest, I'd love an entire album of instrumental songs that sound like A Warm Place. That song just blows my mind.

yes, his lyrics can be a bit uninspired/unpoetic at times, but every musician has a flaw or too, reznor is no exception to this. but, i still know he means what he sings, i still feel the raw power and heart in his words even if it is not fine crafted prose. musically though, the bastard nails it. no pun intended.

i think there is only so much pretend anger one can muster once they have an 11 for a wife, two beautiful children, a grammy for a film score, legions and legions of fans, and more synths and gear than grains of sand in a glass bottle.

I'm not sure yet; I still uncertain about this track. I like the strong feeling of the chorus, but the verses don't have the same feeling and, for me, sounds a little out of nowhere. Maybe, it's a grower. So, anyway...
