Total Mark Isham influence

The bros have even said it themselves, and you can really hear it, especially on this record. They talk about going for a certain time period with this record and I think it's paired up with an Isham record. Maybe each of their records has been paired with an influential album from their past

Definitely. I actually sampled the intro of this song for a tune I did a couple of months back when I was going for a BoC vibe. Foresight!

Yes! Never Cry Wolf is one of my favorite scores by Isham. Great movie, as well. Dark synths in that one are definitely reminiscent of TH. I highly recommend it.

i'm listening to this one, The Beast of War here. the woman singing reminds me of Lisa Gerrard, sounds good this one. he gets very jazzy in the 90s. see here where he's a Scientologist!!!
actually theres a Dead Can Dance track, the host of seraphim, on his soundtrack to the Mist.
could swear thats Lisas voice on the Beast

Sorry, I've never heard of him before either, so can't give you any pointers, but I've just listened to the whole lot of that, and it was gorgeous - you can really hear similar synth sounds that BoC are using on Tomorrow's Harvest.
Thanks a million for that - just noticed on Discogs you can pick up the LP that this is on for peanuts!!

I've been a huge fan of Mark Isham for years...
POINT BREAK is the best thing he's ever done,
Love on the Beach is my favourite cue from the score.
Total coincidence, but someone upped a video of the
skydive and surfing scenes, replacing Isham's music with Dayvan Cowboy.

yeah, i think he was being sarcastic in mentioning that now that i think about it. since its so obvious that they aren't.
i don't think it could be possible for anyone who's invested in that b.s to produce such incredible music.

I'm not saying he's as incredible as BoC, but Chick Corea is into Scientology and he has made some pretty good music.
