This is really good - if I could make one comment, it would be that it might be better as two albums - One with the slower and more pastoral stuff (which remind me of one of my favourite bands - Epic45) and another with the more beat-driven tracks?

Very nice album guys! Been looking forward to this since I saw that lovely teaser video.
Have enjoyed both your musics before so I knew your combined efforts would create something good.
Hope you don't mind that i grabbed this for free, but there was talk of cassettes and cd's to come so I'll probably get one of those.

It's available for free for only a little while. Once it gets boosted by the label and gets into iTunes and Spotify, it won't be. So it's smart to get it for free while it's for free. Hahah. I'm not offended by it, and I don't think Nate would be either. Just glad you guys are interested in it. Definitely share it around if you can.
I appreciate all the kind words. You don't even know!

I'll have to respectfully disagree on that part, I think if it was either or there would be too much similar material all at once. But thanks for the comments! Criticism is always good.
And thanks everyone for the comments! And yeah go ahead and download it while it's still up for free haha. I just want to spread the music really.

first off before I say anything, all the material on here is quality.
I have to say as an album it seems unfocused, it doesn't feel coherent. It seems like you guys had one of those amazing sessions where everything was worth putting to record.
Those can work both in your favour, and against you, and this time I think it worked against you.
For me the highlights where the more rock based compositions, such as Juxtapose, Where's the Beef, and Take Everything Seriously, those where some really inspired melodies and ideas came about.
If this was cut to about 45-55 minutes, this might have been a perfect album, but as it is, it's only really good.
I'll say one thing though, if it was to be cut down, I dunno where I'd make the cuts, all the tracks are worth being heard.

Our original idea for the record was to be around 10-15 songs. We didn't want to do what we did with the split, and have about 40+ tracks. Of course, we threw idea after idea back and forth, which brought back something really interesting. So it would've been difficult to pull songs from the album.
How do you feel it worked against us though?

It just made the album less enjoyable as a whole, it felt scattershot, not completely focused with a consistent vision.

Eh that might be the case, who knows. When I did listen through it it definitely felt pretty long and some songs divert from the general theme, but I'd say there are a good number of tunes that stay consistent. But anyhow, I appreciate the criticism! Hopefully you can still enjoy it? haha.

I really liked "Missing" by a good margin over every song on there. My second and third fav would be "Stay and "Donna Strange".
I heard some influence of DNTEL and others.
Check me out if you want.

Thanks but actually no influence from DNTEL here, or at least not from me. I don't listen to too much electronic music to be honest
Also I've heard that song you posted before, pretty cool. How do you get that ethereal, really BoC sounding synth that plays over the buzzy Roygbiv line? I would love to get a texture like that.
