Just taking a roll call - how many atheists (agnostic or otherwise), antitheists, secularists or simply nonreligious theists (deist, pantheist, whatever) do we have around here?

Somewhere between Atheist and Agnostic, so yes one here!

Pretty sure i'm agnostic, don't really spend much time thinking about it at all though.

Well, it's pretty simple. To be agnostic you just have to admit that you don't know for sure if there is or isn't a god.

That's all.

Then if you choose to believe there is one, you're an agnostic theist, whereas if you lack the belief in one you're an agnostic atheist.

Well no-one can know "for sure" if there's a God or not, even the most religious people still have some doubt and question their beliefs.

But yeah i guess i am agnostic.

Yes and equally no one can be sure that there is not a God. In my opinion it would be insincere and short sighted for anyone to say categorically that there is not a higher power. Especially when there is at least some evidence to the contrary. I feel agnosticism is the only rational position to stand for because it doesn't fanatically place all its eggs in one basket either way, leaving ample space for correction if there ever was proof.

I considered myself as a Christian/theist, however I seem to anger allot of Christians I talk to about the subject...silly little things. Now I don't really know anymore.

These are my personal beliefs, maybe you can help me put a label on it.

God is love, I love God, God loves his creation.
God is the universe, manifesting itself subjectively, just as my music is me manifesting myself through sound. Getting closer to God means getting closer to earth.
God set up the universe in an excellent "prime" state. Call it the big bang, whatever I don't care.
The universe is decaying. Third law of thermodynamics states everything becomes lesser forms of energy over time. I believe in physical degeneration rather then evolution.
I believe there is a distinct difference between humans and animals. We would have seen groups of species evolving in a similar way. Making art/cook food/inventing. We would have seen vastly different species then us collecting fire-wood by now.
As apposed to animals, we are the most free species on this planet. God wants us to do what we want. Its quite a responsibility, and the reason why we have most of the shit things in the world.
I believe we as a species have the possibility to be Gods, however, praying to humans is frowned upon by initial creator. The only thing removing us from being a God is mortality. Singularity could be an answer. Theres also a good chance we'll change in an evil force.
God is dead for anyone who doesn't believe in him. I think thats what the phrase "He died for your sins" means. You don't have to believe if you don't want.
Not a single religion is the right one -or- all of them are.
Religion in itself is an evil thing. This is due to the rotten nature of humanity and our thirst for becoming Gods, rather then the rotten nature of initial creator.
I speculate the afterlife is inside the mind,a dream-loop produced by the last few seconds of brain activity. Lets just hope you'll get a nice dream (better figure out what those nightmares mean!).

This is exactly my standpoint. I'm an agnostic who hopes atheists are right though, though some agnostics may prefer the opposite.

There is the concept or 'story', told by humans, that everything was created by a being, god.
I don't believe in this story - it's not a matter of being certain that the story is wrong or right - to me it is just one of many possible stories. I think atheism, being literally 'without belief in god' best describes this.
I've never been sure where agnostic fits in this - atheism does not imply certainty, so agnostic seems like a redundant term.

Actually being agnostic is believing that the knowledge of a higher power is UNKNOWABLE. Not simply being unsure. That would mean that you believe there's a possibility either way. I consider myself an agnostic

I'm an atheist because, even if there was a God, it wouldn't matter.

I know what being an agnostic is. There's a difference between weak agnosticism and strong agnosticism.

So what I think your trying to say is think there is no meaning to the world beyond what yourself deems it to be? Correct me if im wrong, just trying to get an idea of what your thinkin'

Life is empty and meaningless that it's empty and meaningless....

Fully atheist. I believe that there is no god, and that all religions are merely ancient mythology. And that's it. Having been raised catholic, I've offended a lot of family. I don't care. It's ancient mythology, stop believing in it.
