Yep, Rossz Csillag Alatt Született is one of my favourite albums! Enjoy a lot of his other work too, not all of it mind.

I looked for another Venetian Snares thread, thought I'd catch you out and lay the law down on yo ass, but this is really the first VSnares thread. Interesting.
Yeah I'm pretty in on his stuff, though he's not been great for a few years. Since Happy Hardcore Pom Poms, he's been kinda iffy. Detrimentalist was decent, My Downfall was meh, and everything since then has been barely worth paying attention to.
He can take solace in the fact he's released like 5 or so good records though, Doll Doll Doll is still one of the most striking and seriously frightening records I've ever heard.
Love the fact that he can turn to whatever genre, add his breaks and make it work, leaving the music relatively original and the listener can say "Oh this is VSnares" despite he's done so much.

He's pretty good. Not my favorite guy here, but I listen to his tracks for the obvious awesome drum arrangements and creativity. Pretty amazing stuff, but not my favorite.

Rossz Csillag is a great album. The balance of classical and the usual hyper breaks is pretty much dead on...
My favourite of the break tracks is Masodik Galamb - one hell of a composition that sounds like it's about to explode by the end.
But probably my favourite track of album is actually one of the no breaks, violin-lead pieces: Felbomlasztott Mentokocsi (Disintegrated Ambulance)... Even & especially if you don't like VSnares' typical drum based tracks, I would recommend giving the track a listen; it's a stark, atmospheric and cinematic piece.

The whole Detrimentalist album is killer. I have two noise complaints from my neighbors upstairs because of my inability not to bump this at loud volumes.
