Unavailable releases; HD Artwork.

My friend over at the local printing school touched up some of the older/unavailable releases artwork. They're not AMAZING 40000X40000 resolution, but she did it for free and it's better than the thumbnail versions, in my opinion. I wanted to upload it as Fan Art on bocpages, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it. Either way, cheers!
Catalog 3: See MUCH better post in thread.

I really like Hooper Bay. That child in the front still makes my skin crawl.

The Hooper Bay one and the Play by Numbers one look fine but the rest of them are pretty gross looking tbh

While some look slightly better, you can definitely tell they've been upscaled and it's hardly appropriate to call them HD.

Stretched in Irfanview from 200x200 to 450x450

To me, they make better thumbnails. And, hey, it was free, so I'm not particularly complaining. However, I do like the Acid Memories one. It reminds me of a photo loaded off a BBS in the late 90s.

The funny thing is, that artwork isn't exactly that complicated.
You could just remake that artwork in vector in about the time you would spend adding those photoshop filters and have it like 10000000000000000x10000000000000000 if you'd like.
In fact...I'll do that tonight.

That would be cool. But the file size wouldn't be...
Unless you have a supercomputer. Then it's okay.

I'll just fragment-rar it, then rar the rars, then rar that rar.

This thread should now be dedicated to REAL high-quality release art.

Good effort, however I think I will stick with the originals. Not trying to be discouraging! By all means, keep at it, I appreciate your tenacity..I love the artwork on these old releases and having a true hi-res version of any of them would be stellar.

Here's my version, derived from Zeffolia's with corrected colours based on the image on the wiki.
PNG
SVG (you know, for AMAZING 40000x40000 resolution)
SVG with editable text

If you use a vector image, the filesize is miniscule and you can make it however large you like.

the vector version looks cleaner obviously but the narrow line widths don't look right in comparison to the original, uneven. some wider than they should be? hard to get right i guess as the source is pixelated :/

Yes, a vector maintains a relatively small file size, however, a complete rendering/export of a file with that resolution would be nearly uncontainable. Dependent, of course, on other varying circumstances.
