Can anyone identify it? She looks a bit Roman to me, but her eyes are Asian. Perhaps she's an Asian goddess? Do they have those?

A statue in the dumpster?

Why in the name of Roybgiv would anyone throw out a statue?

At first I was expecting some sort of figurine, but look at the size of that.

That's some statue you got there.

I love finding cool shit in dumpsters, I'd be overjoyed to find a statue!

One time I found a bunch of old playground toys in the dumpster, like these giant metal daisies that were meant to be climbed. Shit was so cool. We painted them and then were like "eh what the fuck are we supposed to do with them now?".

My parents weren't too keen on letting me display them in the front yard but they were in the backyard for awhile. Wonder what happened to them.

Also I'm not gonna lie, I've dumpster dived mad food. Gutter punk 4 life.

And if that was my statue I'd totally paint that shit and crochet her a sick outfit.

What does it appear to be made out of? Plaster? Concrete? Foam?

That is so cool. I found a perfectly working banjo once with all the strings. I am too afraid to eat food out of a dumpster.

It's made out of some sort of heavy duty plastic resin stuff. I took the liberty of spray-painting it to look like a marble statue.

My other idea was to spray paint it glossy bright orange, like a construction cone, and then go to a construction site and replace one of the big construction cones with the Orange Goddess.

That's understandable. There definitely is a lot of yucky stuff in dumpsters, but there's also stuff that's totally ok to eat if you can get over the mental hump of dumpster food. I've worked in food service and grocery stores long enough to see how much perfectly good food gets tossed out, you get good at telling the good stuff from the bad stuff. I've never gotten sick from eating dumpstered food, but I have from eating restaurant food, so ya never know.

But I really hate waste, and I've known a few places that had awesome dumpsters that were accessible, so it was cool. There was this one bakery dumpster I used to go to that had all these slightly stale artisinal loaves with like figs and walnuts and stuff. It ruled.

I would be so excited to find a banjo! I want one of those jawns so bad.
