Luke Francis Vibert, an underground musical genius, i would go as far as to say he is a tad overlooked, especially with today's new generation of music lovers. A bit of a shame as nobody can fuse hip-hop beats and acidic treats together like this man.

His Deep Gong Remix of Ventolin is brilliant! Just awesome! I'm definitely a fan of his work, from amen andrews to kerrier district to wagon christ. Good stuff!

We Hear You

YosepH was wonderful, but besides that his records range from pretty great to just flat out boring and annoying.

Like his most recent work under his Wagon Christ moniker. Toomorrow was flat out awful.

he should have stuck with his Plug and Amen Andrews names, he did some of his best work under those.

Such a great artist, the samples, the beats, the melodies, and the production is all great, top notch (for his style) generally.

He's def worth a listen two or more. I found an original 'Big Soup' on vinyl in my local record shop five years ago. I saw the artwork and thought this is going to be interesting and most likely right up my street / avenue / cul-de-sac - so I bought it...it gives me ghost of DJ Shadow vibes but with a genre twisting feel (same label). I still haven't found anything else of his yet. Actually I need to give this another spin this weekend, but I imagine Inferno will take up my listening time

Also him and Ceephax Acid Crew are just so much FUN to listen to. Less serious in tone (with exceptions ofc) but it's such quality stuff nonetheless.

And all the Vibert vocal sample fuckery is just wicked and creative as fuck.

‘Variety Magic’ under his Plug alias which is out today on De:tuned is fantastic (I’m only 3 tracks in). ‘Who’s In The House’ is a tour de force of break manipulation.

In my teens I picked up Planet Mu's "The Cosmic Forces of Mu" compilation double CD and listened to it a TON. Loved it. Vibert's "Funky Acid Stuff" was one of my favorites on it, lol.
