I'll start: Amo Bishop Roden is SURROUNDED with birds chipping faintly throughout the song. I have listened to this track countless times and I have just noticed it this instant.

Every year I discover at least another layer in Geogaddi to at least one track.

During the last 2 minutes of Satellite Anthem Icarus you can hear the first 2 words of the title repeated slowly in time with the music in a vocoded voice.

I don't hear any birds... Just the
percussion making it appear that way.

I originally realised it was there around the 3:10-3:15 mark, if you're using headphones you can hear some sort of very faint scratching noises. Once you realise it's there and you hear the whole track you can hear they're actually birds. I believe what happens is the music itself doesn't completely occupy the whole left-center-right space and it's a little on the background, so to say, so the chirping being so soft fills the rest of the space but it's not immediately noticeable.
I'm also adding something I wrote in another thread some days ago about a backward melody I never noticed before on '84 Pontiac Dream:
There is a backwards melody at around 01:34 in '84 Pontiac Dream, you can hear it on the left channel. If you reverse it you get
this.

Interesting that you note that, as I've always identified that song as "Slide song"...
I've recently noticed the background synths of Dayvan Cowboy's climbing section (don't know how to identify it properly)

this is something that i noticed years ago. but it took me years to notice it
in the track, julie and candy. there is a flute that plays a loop every few seconds, throughout the entire track. its being played very faintly in the background, and i am sure it took you guys plenty of listens to notice, or maybe some of you havent noticed it yet, and now you will after reading this

Does it play in the right channel? Because I can definitely hear a flute there.

i listened to julie and candy again to see if it is in the right channel, and i guess it is.
the flute i am referring to plays as soon as the beat drops. and it plays a 3 tone loop, every 2 seconds, throughout the entire track.
when i first listened to julie and candy, i probably heard the song 100 or more times before i noticed the faint flute in the background. now after spotting it, i dont see how i missed it after all those listens. it holds the entire beat together. and gives the track a really nice dreamy touch.

From 4:13 to the end, it's very very faint!

There's an amazing 4 note repeating melody that fades in to Dawn Chorus towards the final parts of the song. It's actually quite prolific but I only really noticed it quite recently and it's now probably my favourite part of Geogaddi. Nostalgia overload.

Come on now, try harder! I guess for me it helps having a massive PA to play it over but I can still hear it on headphones, anyone else care to back me up on this?

You know what I've just noticed? That BoC's full remix of Poppy Seed is actually better than the Reprise version. It's taken me many years to finally figure this out.

The whole melody is made out of recordings of a flute I'm fairly sure. But tbh I did notice this right away.
Something I didn't notice until years of listening was the birdsong and sound of a running river underneath the music in Pete Standing Alone, it's pretty subtle. I also think there might be a really subtle voice in that tune too if I'm remembering correctly.

bam - me too! funny thing is i recognized it as a mechanical sound but never gave it a moment to figure out what it might be.
its ironic, as i've just begun the massive project of digitizing ALL family 8mm film, hi8, prints, negatives, and slides. some of the slides are still in a chest-high stack of old Kodak carousels!
how did i miss this!?

Has anyone else ever noticed how the last 8 tracks on geogaddi all link into each other (sometimes it's a little subtle and hard to hear)
