I recently moved to Olympia, WA and was wondering whether any of you lot live in the area (including Seattle, Tacoma, etc.) If so, I think we should have a Pacific Northwest Boards of Canada convergence. Everyone throughout the great land of Cascadia (including our friends in BC) is invited.

I recently moved from Colorado to a place 1.5 hours from Spokane, so I am in your neck of the woods now. I'm moving to Asia soon but will be here occasionally on vacation.

There's quite a few of us from WA State here...I'm in Seattle. I'm not sure if anyone locally has tried to organize a "convergence", but I think it's a great idea. Count me in.

I wish I still lived in oly I definitely will be back someday. I've seen a bunch of washington fans on here though.

I guess Seattle might be the most central meeting point. I do not know my way around Seattle at all, however. Integer, do you have any ideas for a good spot to get together?

Yeah, I think Seattle would probably be the most central spot to meet. Although I'd personally be willing to meet somewhere further away if Seattle doesn't work for everyone else. There are a lot of cool little cafes and diners/coffee shops in my neighborhood (Capitol Hill) if that's the kind of venue that would appeal to everyone.

I guess it would depend on what we wanted to do at this "get together". I've never done this kind of thing before....I'm sure it's a given that we'd be listening to music and that we'd need a decent stereo system to use...would we be bringing our personal BoC collections with us? Would renting out a conference room be the way to go? A hotel room? I'd suggest my apartment, but it's tiny and my girlfriend might take issue with it. I guess we need to figure out how many other local people would be interested in going. Either way, it would be cool just to meet up with some other local Twoism members.

I would be up for whatever, really. Hanging out at a park and discussing the meaning of life, interpretive dancing to Tomorrow's Harvest, standing on the sidewalk picking our noses...

It would probably be good to have some food, so maybe we could have lunch and then hang out somewhere for awhile? Anyone else have some ideas?
