Found a few small reviews of the listening party in NYC:

it was basically two plays of the album tacked on to the beginning of a regular club night they have there

anyhow, the album was rather impressive
it's kind of boards of canada minus the sinister
a perfect summer record though, too bad it's coming out in october"

The hip-hop rhythms part scares me a bit.

Uhm, if I was you I shouldn't listen to other people their opinion untill you heard it yourself. Because everyone experience it in another way.

And btw, isn't MHTRTC also a bit hip-hop-ish as well?

Basically, what I've read it will have more guitar samples, deep basslines, and Twoism style hip-hop beats, which sounds dope. Now that's all fine and dandy but I wander if it will have all the weird backward speech and childrens voices like Geogaddi? I also hope they continue with their dark sound that makes them so mysterious. I was hoping it would be even more twisted and fucked up than Geogaddi, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

i dun care what they sound like. even if they just recorded 70 minutes of farting, i'de still buy it! and we all would still search for hidden messages in the fart sounds!

they could be going back to a more practical/organic approach like 'wouldn't you like to be free' and 'sir prancelot brainfire.' i think i heard them mentioning in one of their interviews that they have produced a lot of music with guitar and vocals. most of which is probably archived in hexagon sun waiting to be unleashed onto the discerning public. and if so, that'd be cool with me
