Same. This is chalking up to be a really impressive, stripped down album. They're doing something different here.

Yup. Somehow it seems like the most natural evolution for a group like Death Grips.

I've posted this on another thread I've made. I'm new to this, so I got it all wrong...

Never mind... Here's what I think:
"I've already heard DG's new album and it's simply brilliant!

There is also this series of videos for each track of the album, and what I think after watching those videos is the following:
You might think he loves you... - The video represents MC Ride expresing a multitude of expressions like he's on drugs, so what I think is: MC Ride got an overdose and he knows he's going to die and expresses all his anger, while also getting hallucinated and laughing at it.
From Anne Bonny to Bootleg - These are the hallucinations that MC Ride had. I don't know how he wrote it, but that's what I think.
Whatever I Want - MC Ride's last whisper. The drones on the music represent "the light over the tunnel". If you see the video, you can also understand that the death is looking after him, and cries for his death. (Kinda strange, though)
This is what I think. Reply and tell your opinion.

Government Plates is probably my favorite since Exmilitary. Love it. There isn't anyone else doing stuff like Death Grips atm.
Also, I think the lyrics in the song "Birds" might be a reference to Charles Bukowski's poem "Bluebird" maybe

these guys need to stop releasing so much, their popularity's getting to their heads I think.
