Hi everyone!

I just released my debut album! It's been a long time coming but I'm quite proud of it. It's a combination of ambient, downtempo and experimental songs all built around samples from my parents home movies of myself and my brothers during our childhood.

You can listen to and download it from here! http://iamSirch.bandcamp.com
or alternatively via soundcloud www.soundcloud.com/iamSirch

Hi! my name is Robin and I just listened to your debut album! ;)

Lovely atmosphere with all those voice samples. I have a weak spot for characteristic voice samples.
Loved the audible BoC influence in your music.

How long did it take to create this?

Do I know you?
No.

Then why should I listen.

I mean come on, you're probably a cool guy, why do you have to ruin your image by posting your music first. Let us get to know you and then maybe we will have a reason to listen.

i listened and y'know what's worse?

I liked it!

A few ideas here and there were a little too reminiscent of our favourite Scottish duo (like first half of Pierce the Sky sounds so much like the 2nd unknown track from the live ATP set it's not funny)

But the thing is why did you even make an account, are you gonna stick around? or did you just come here to pimp your stuff and leave? It's not fair to people like Aesthetics (it's his site) and the rest of the musicians on the board who have waited and made their names as members of a community, and not just those to stop off and drop their music and leave.

If you do come back, please stay, be a person. I'd much rather base you on your personality than the music you make.

I wish people spoke in their own voice.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for listening, really really appreciate it.

@Aesthetics: The album took me about 3 months, although I fleshed out demos that are over a year old for some of the songs! (And thanks for making a website we BoC fans can gather at :) )

@The Telepathic Kid. Thanks for listening. I do plan to stick around, in fact I do have another account I use more often u/titanisiam. For the sake of conformity across all of the social network platforms I decided to make a new one. Thanks again for listening and for Your feedback.

hadn't even seen this thread until now, really quality stuff! I almost wish the use of found sounds as percussion, kind of like you have in Oneohsix persisted in the other tracks. Otherwise, really great production quality on this! Beach Babies and Last Swim are some pretty standout tracks. Has a cool mixture of that m83 saccharin/clean cut with the boc sort of sounds.

This is good music. Splendid drum patterns. I hope you stick around though and you're not another second mouse/musical salesman/attention whore.

Listening now and it's lovely. Thanks very much for posting.

Can I just say, for the record, I honestly don't get the animosity repeatedly shown by some towards fellow musicians promoting their music. Sure, a couple have gone overboard at times. But honestly, quit moaning and give people a break.

Personally, I love that this board is considered important enough that artists plug their work over here. Without this board, Hills West, Saturday Index, Sarin Sunday, Cilocub, Boreal Network, Eyesix, Redpoint - hell, dozens more I'm ashamed to 'forget' right now - I'd never have heard of any of them.

Welcome iamSirch. Stick around and cheers 8)

I think the issue is people who sign up and *only* push their music when others have made the effort to contribute to the community.

Anyhoo - I'll definitely give this a listen later tonight.
