Rate the track above yours (General)

since we got AFX and AE threads going at the same time, I thought why not a general one.

And please post the youtube links, not everyone has each others music taste.

And please please PLEASE don't be shy! This thread runs on the milk of human kindness, so please don't be afraid of posting any type of music, and please don't be afraid to give an honest rating. We're all friends here, no need for that useless hate that is found in other parts of the internet.

hugs for everyone.

to start with, my personal favourite track of all time;

7/10

I actually have never heard that one before. Not bad, Not a huge beatles fan, but I really only like Penny Lane and Day in the Life.

THANK YOU NICK. I was going to do this if someone else didn't. I think the artist specific threads can only go so far, and are a little circle jerk-y. Not that I've even kept up with any of them, but this just seems like a more logical thing to have.

That actually really surprised me, I always thought Ween just made weird music I could never really get into, but this one was a really pleasant listen. 8/10.

I apologize for the sound quality, but it's the only version I can find online. Moonriders - Jub Up Family

6/10 I like the sound, not so much the actual music. I also have a hard time with that kind of singing voice.

Nice little doodle. Perfect lazy Sunday sounds. Never been massively into Prefuse 73 for some reason. Think i might have to have a dig through my harddrive and see what I've got knocking around.

Beautiful vibe, this is the first I've heard of Move D so I thank you for the introduction! I'll be picking some up when I see it.

Reminds me of BOC lol. Really like those synths in the background, many thanks for the discovery ! 8/10

Has a huge 80's vibe to me, which usually doesn't appeal to me (those huge, outlandish synth sounds). But they weren't so bad in this song; pretty neat in fact how it was put together. However, I really don't care for the vocals at all. I think the song would be a lot better without them, but that's just for me. 5/10

Ill give that a 5/10, pretty tight flow, but the beat doesn't bump enough for my liking.

Yeah, I wish Passarani would've continued making stuff like this as he is brilliant at it. As far as I know he's been sticking to minimal house since then, but I digress...

I've heard of Cannibal Ox but this is the first track I've listened to. Cool instrumental and good flow from the MCs. I appreciate that they are going somewhere a little more experimental with the instrumental compared to most hip-hop I've heard. At any rate, thanks for the intro :)

Okay let's stay on a hip-hop tangent: Chris De Luca & Peabird - Deadly Wiz da Disko...

Yep, Cannibal Ox is great. EL-P produced the majority of The Cold Vein

I really enjoyed this. Really clean sound, reminds me of something Autechre might do. 7/10

Not really keen on his voice or flow, and the beat sounds like a poor quality EL-P jam. Sorry man, not feeling this one. :(

Now or a bit of amen chopperey
