hey all! i don't post here much but i recently made a video recording of my analog tektronix oscilloscope (1993 ish) reading the waveform of the audio from the first two tracks of boards of canada’s album “geogaddi” and it’s beautiful. it’s basically a realtime view of the audio waveform produced from this music, but since i have analog equipment throughout, you’re literally seeing the bumpy path the record needle takes when it moves across the surface of a vinyl record’s groove.

lemme know what you think!

Nice!

Always fancied an Oscilloscope as a totally frivolous purchase. Takes me right back to A-Level Physics 8)

I was gonna buy one a few years ago, when I was still studying. Set you back 50 to 70 quid for a shitty entry level number on eBay, I think. :P
Video is strangely mesmerising for something so simple.

That's wicked! Thanks for posting, easily the most interesting BoC video I've seen.
