Nice song nonetheless. If anyone really had Closes vol.1 they'd do more than share just one song. Nothing stopping them unless they didn't have enough time to make the whole album themselves.

The "real" Godever is more likely to be A14 on R35TT. That song was floating around as Godever on Napster/Audiogalaxy like 10+ years ago before showing up as A14 many years later.

The thing that i find difficult with that is that i have never seen any proof of this beyond people 'remembering seeing it'. I'm not saying I don't believe you, just that I don't really consider that evidence of anything.

Yep, that's up to you whether you want to believe it or not, that's what free will is all about. For some people, the only way they'll believe is by seeing and I understand that. There's no "remembering" or maybe about it, it's fact in my case.

No offense taken, it just sucks that no one held onto this from years ago. I think anyone who had it back then probably dumped it when they realized it was part of the compilation. I know Techboy has been trying to track down that particular version of it for quite awhile. Although I remember it sounding identical, maybe a difference in rip quality could be interesting for historical purposes or whatever.

Really digging this track, beautiful sound. It's kind of sad that so many tracks have to get passed off as BoC fakes before they reach a wider audience as opposed to just being heard as the song that they are.

Metamorphic Reproduction Miracle is one of my favorite idm albums of all time. (Mk Naomi is a fav). While he might share some similarities to boc (makes sense considering their starting point), his sound is definitely unique. One Sunny Cloudy Day is another favorite melancholy little track with an interesting video to accompany it. He's been posting on FB that he's working on some new stuff for 2014, and has recently unearthed some older unreleased stuff; can't wait for either.

he also posted on facebook that he "found some old stuff people would pay off his mortgage for".... the asshole

Anyways, I was just transferring some files from an old drive and found my old "Boards of Canada" folder, which actually has the old mp3 titled Godever. Unfortunately it seems to be cut off and is only 21 seconds. I can send to anyone if they want though.

Although my memory is foggy, I remember talking to an old user "Phaelem"? on Soulseek about them and he seemed to have some info and verified them as being legit. I vaguely remember him mentioning something about another tape as well, although my memory is super foggy...
