everyone has their own opinion with music, and i respect yours.. but i completely disagree with you, lol.
ive always felt the vibe of, love being lost. or having been lost, in BOC's music
i think the track sixtyniner, is a good example of the feeling i am describing. even the vocal sample about halfway through gives the vibe of a long ago memory.
i personally. connect with those types of songs more when i am on my own, not in a relationship.. dont get me wrong, i can still connect with their music even if i am in love. but i just feel as though the music correlates better with loneliness. which is strange considering i dont find their music to be sad.

I think everything is better when you're in love.

I agree, to an extent. Roygbiv and Aquarius always make me think of my girlfriend, and then I feel overjoyed and grateful for her love. On the other hand, just about all of Geogaddi makes me feel lonely, but sort of in a good way. I think a better word would be introspective.

Never had a gf that liked BoC at all
But I agree that everything is better when you are in love

I've never been loved, to hell if I know!
But I don't think BoC's music has any sort of positive message, ever. They're always so - particularly now - existential and dark and creepy, except for Campfire. Which still, I don't see much of a love story in.

But that applies to everything when "in love" doesn't it. It's just a chemical imbalance... You will get over it.
