I absolutely love Whitewater. One of their best. It takes a while to get good though, the beginning is rather repetitive..

I really liked this article, I missed it the first time around. It's intelligent without being overly pretentious ala Pitchfork. I'll give them a pass on mentioning anything subliminal about TCH, but it's really on point otherwise.

Whitewater is a perfect ender for Boc Maxima. I dig the drum circle influence in the beginning and how the same beat is brought up later once the synths kick in. Ultra-nostalgia synths are in full blast as well.

I sometimes go back and forth between Whitewater and 5-9-78 as to which track invokes the most nostalgia for me.

In the end, I'm eternally grateful that I've been able to experience both tracks. Not many songs give me goosebumps, and even fewer are able to repeatedly give me goosebumps after years of listening. Whitewater is one of those tracks. Along with 5-9-78 and Nothing is Real (so far).

Whitewater stands out on its own, for several reasons I suppose. That sesame street sample is just brilliant.

I feel exactly the same way.
Whitewater is just a reminder of how much awesome music BoC may have hidden and honestly, and even though I know I'm not entitled to anything, I feel kinda angry/sad that maybe I would never listen to it.

Whitewater and Red Moss alone make BoC Maxima worth having. I can't believe they never released those tracks officially.

I live right beside a region called Whitewater. In fact, I was there earlier today for work. There's a nice big sign that i'll take a picture of for you guys n gals. It's in a nice spot and is a beautiful area filled with forest and lakes. I can't drive through it without thinking of the song.

I'm glad they've gotten a little less overt about the Clinton hate boner undercurrent to their work since the 90s between Whitewater and the Davidians.

Just think about what the CIA got up to in the 60s...the inttermingling of power, corruption and evil is nothing new in government.

People are probably aware of my feelings towards the Clintons, but I honestly don't think Whitewater is about that in reality.

Just listening to it one feels like they are kayaking in rapids. I think that the Branch Davidian theme wasn't anything directly aimed at the Clintons, and more a comment about government in general. How one can no longer decide to start their own community, have their own beliefs and live as they wish to without being destroyed by the federal government. The limitations on human freedom in somewhere ironically referred to as the land of the free. In recent years, more than one individual has gone to prison for collecting rainwater to drink - Apparently the rain belongs to the government, and others have been imprisoned or fined for generating their own electricity instead of being hooked up to the local grid.

Think about how many violations of law one would be committing if they were just to find a lake to drink from, to build a hut by said lake and to reside there. The most fundamental of human behavior, banned.
