The BoCcast (Episode 9, IABPOITC)

Hey everyone. I've managed to pull myself away from my BoC-induced ASMR-esque shivers long enough to write out some of my thoughts and start producing a podcast. I'm not used to doing voicework, so this is all pretty amateurish from a production perspective, but I'm reasonably happy with how it came out, and I learned a lot in the process.
So, here it is, submitted for your enjoyment and consideration, the BoCcast:
Disclaimer: Yes, a lot of the samples are harder to hear. I'm getting a little better at isolating them, and taking care to choose what I feel are the most audible samples. I would highly recommend you get a DAC, it'll change your life. (i'd recommend the fiio X3 or X5, doubles as a lossless player and has a fantastic DAC.) You'll notice all kinds of details in the music you never heard before, it's like hearing the song for the first time.

BoC talk? Are you looking for guests? I would LOVE to contribute to a BoC-related podcast if it were done through Skype or something akin to that, or just perhaps a reading of some text. I have a lot to say about how Geogaddi literally changed my life and is one of the reasons I'm still alive today.

Keep these going, I really enjoyed listening.
But in regards to your Jacquard Causeway section, I am struggling for the life of me to hear “Death will take them all,” how are you hearing that?!

is there any way to fix their music and put it together properly?
meaning. is there a way to take the backwards drums in macquarie ridge. and place them into the original macqarie ridge version.
another way of saying it would be, delete the drumming to the song, then reverse the drums, and add the reversed drums to the original track?
does this make any sense, and can it be done with their music?
even the leslie nielson bit in dandelion would be awesome to hear being played fowards with the music being played forwards as well.

It might be "death will take them all away" but it is really quiet. I find that full mammoth hi-fi is a necessity for the finer details, so I'm listening to 96/24 vinyl rips on my FiiO X3, through my Hifiman HE-400s... Sorry to just cite the hardware/bitrate, but if it's totally inaudible, that's my guess as to why. Had a good sesh with the ol' audio setup last night, definitely heard this whisper again, and some other craaazy chilling stuff...

I dunno bro, there's probably no way to do it at all cleanly unless you miraculously procured some master tracks :/

Feel free to hit me up via email or facebook, man (this goes for anyone, check the about me section on boccast.com) and let me know what you've been thinking. If it'd make for an interesting show, we could maybe figure something out.

There's definitely something. I've heard it once, when being a little stoned and totally focused on the song. The voice is calm and female, and it repeats. There is another woman voice saying just one brief word, maybe reversed (dunno what she says). Also it's much more easier to be catched.

I really enjoy your BoC-related works. Piano version of Macquire ridge is absolutely mind blowing. And thanks for these tutorials too. Looking forward to hear more entertaining and interesting stuff from you.

I enjoyed your podcast.
I disagree with you when you say that all BOCs music is meant to be played backwards.
I would argue that just because their music CAN be played backwards does not mean that it was DESIGNED to be played as such.
cheers.
