Just seeing the other thread about the whole New Clear Dawn thing and whether it was an aborted project or linked to what became TH reminded me of another question about the TH campaign...

Remember the goings-on at Rough Trade in London? Do we think that was an event that ended up not happening? I seem to remember what seemed like a lot of setting up....

pretty sure it was just to advertise for TH. didn't it display the xxxxxx/xxxxxx/etc. cover?

Yeah, it showed the visuals from the Read For The Dead video, but without the music.

I was in a dilemma that night - drive the 2.5 hours up to London just in case it was a live performance, or sit tight. I recall Ae winding me up on FB - 'You'll regret it if you don't!' etc etc lol.

I hereby rename this thread the 'Tomorrow's Harvest Post-Release Pre-Release Nostalgia Conversation', or 'THPRPRNC' for short. Slips right off the tongue.

Only this weekend I was thinking about it, playing back all the Cosecha audio clues and getting shivers down my spine. 2013 was the most amazing year to be a Boards fan.

I just wonder if there was meant to be more to the Rough Trade shop thing - some kind of pop up installation or a live appearance that for one reason or another didn't happen.

The whole episode was so exciting & great fun. I seem to recall splitting my time between here & sharing updates on Twitter with quite a crew of people - some people I followed who I didn't even know were fans, a few folk from here and a best-selling crime writer!

And aren't there a few of those 40 second records still unaccounted for?

All of it was awesome. I remember being at work, reloading this website constantly through the whole thing. This place was the central hub for all information during those great times. I wish I would not of been a "long time lurker" during those times.

It's not over.

It came like a lightning from a clear sky. I was anxious and bummed out for my final exams when the news about a mysterious vinyl spread. It instantly reinvigorated me. I couldn't sleep. I kept an eye on their site and social media, I lurked on Twoism, I partook in the /mu/ threads, I read up more on BoC on bocpages. During the height of my hype I even called around record stores in my area in search for another vinyl. Needless to say, I've not been as excited about anything since.

And I've only been a listener since around 2010, I can't imagine how you long-time fans must have felt.

I doubt it. Did anyone even get a legit confirmation there were six? How do we know some unscrupulous record store owners didn't keep them for themselves? I mean, really, if they existed they would have been found by now.

I still think there are unexplained things about the campaign; the Little House on the Prairie video and Reach for the Dead backwards are at the top of my head. I just don't believe it was just for kicks.

I think the conclusion was that they only released 2. 1 in New York and the second in London. I guess they had to do 2 in case the one wasn't found/ reported to everyone on the internet.

Actually quite a risky game, since if they'd have both been bought and the buyers didn't mention anything about it, god knows what their back up plan was? Not exactly hard to imagine either since the person who bought the London record didn't come forward at all.

I also found out recently that the guys that work in the record stores get first dibs on what comes in on record store day, if there were more in different countries, maybe they were all snatched up by the record store guys.

Just read through the bocpages thread on the campaign all over again, wow.. wasn't it great! Little did we know what was coming this time last year. Madness.

That Neil Krug video for In a Beautiful Place.. is absolutely gorgeous too.

Is 'Aesthetics' a confirmed Hexagon Sun member? I thought we all ASSUMED there were 6, only because there were 6 blocks of XXXXXX's on the cover - we all thought each individual record would provide a new number? (this was obviously before anyone knew what the hell was going on.)

I had no idea there was one discovered in Edinburgh though, what great news. Maybe they'll release the other 3 this record store day (with any luck.)

There is going to be so much disappointment when they release their next album in such a standard way

Aesthetics and Fredd-E have quite a bit more insider knowledge/communication. Part of the campaign was featured on this very site. I think we can be fairly confident the facts stated on bocpages are as accurate as can be.

There was indeed one found in Avalanche in Edinburgh. As some of you know, I saw & heard it with my own eyes & ears (wasn't me who found it though sadly).
