Requesting remixers for upcoming project

Hello! I will have a new record coming in 2015, the last one under my moniker of Powernap. Some of you heard the first one, some of you did not.

If you enjoy remixing songs and would donate your time, one thing that I've wanted to do is to release a remix EP for that first Powernap album as well as the Simulate Televangelist record (again, I'm sure some of you have heard it). Though I plan to have some bonus remixes for my upcoming album, this would mainly be focused on what has been released. I'm obviously going to be contributing to it, but I'd like it to be remixed by other peers of mine. This is the main reason I want to go through with it and have it release as a "Various Artists" sort of thing.

If you would be interested in contributing, let me know and I'll send you the multitracks for a song you want to remix. If this expands enough to be a full length remix album, there's also room for a few new tracks by others that fit in.

If you have not heard either Powernap (myself) or Simulate Televangelist (collab group - 2020k, myself, Kinesthetiac, Betaphax, Nyetscape, Boreal Network, Scyye and other contributors), you can listen to them here:

http://simulatetelevangelist.bandcamp.com/

This is going to be a free release, there are no guidelines and you may manipulate a remix however you'd like, and you will be fully credited. Thank you for your time and participation would be greatly appreciated!

oh man, i'd love to give it a shot. I hadn't heard the first Powernap album, but i'm loving it so far.

Functioner. Can I do Functioner? That song rules.

Certainly. I appreciate the compliment as well. If you decide you'd like to remix that after finishing the album, I will get around to uploading multitracks pretty soon here, probably tomorrow. They'll either be via PMs or public links in this thread.

Thank you!

I already have the multitracks for Child done, actually. They were requested by one of my Soundcloud followers. If you'll give it a shot, that'd be great.

As I said to him, the clicking sounds are not artifacts from the export, they're actually artifacts of the DAW itself that I eventually felt complemented the texture of many of the songs and retained as part of the track: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/389 ... 0stems.rar

Feel free to do whatever you want to it. This is yet another collaborative project, I just thought I'd throw out the track elements from those albums as bases for new tracks, whether they're strict remixes that borrow heavily from the original track/expand upon what's there or things so totally different with minimal retention of elements, kind of like this or the Odd Nosdam Dayvan Cowboy mix, in example.

Here are the multitracks for Functioner kurt: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/389 ... tioner.rar

I'll get around to Powerstation Outlook pretty soon TTK. You can probably make it much better than the original track (at least to me), it's my least favorite from the album by far due to a number of reasons.

No due date. Just whenever everyone submits their remixes/tracks/whatever and I put up a rough version on here and see what everyone thinks. Then it'll go out on the Simulate Televangelist bandcamp probably and it'll have links to everyone who participated's Soundcloud/Bandcamp pages.

I know I've only gotten two tracks up. I plan to get all the rest up tonight or tomorrow morning. With a couple of tracks I have to hunt down the files because I don't know what I saved them as.

if it's too hard to find, I can pick a different track to remix.

I just got ideas when I heard Powerstation Outlook, that's all.

No, I found it. There may be some audio glitches because I experienced a bunch with this fucking song. ETA soon though, if my dropbox isn't full.

Anyways, I'll get everyone's request up. Something came up, and it was called Wolfenstein: The New Order and a due date from the redbox machine. Great fucking game. Anyways, back to work.

Alright, here is Powerstation Outlook: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/389 ... 079bpm.rar

I forgot to include the BPM note so I put it in the filename.

For Perch, here is Ice Cavern - this one took a while to find because it's a really old file with a totally unrelated name: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/389 ... cavern.rar

I have to note that I have deleted Functioner from Dropbox to have room for these. I assume kurt downloaded the file.

I still have to get Cobalt Surge and Warmer Climates up for 2020k and Betaphax, that'll be a bit later.
