I was reading this interview with Gigi Masin (someone that if you don't know you really, really shoud check out. This Wind LP it's just outstanding: when something caught my eye:
It’s like the story I heard yesterday of JD Twitch from Optimo who decided not to publish first demo from Boards Of Canada (they were not known at the moment).
Anyone knows what is the interviewer talking about? I never heard anything about this.

Not familiar with them, but I'd assume they're referring to Twoism.

JD Twitch is a DJ/Producer who jointly runs the Optimo record label and also does clubs. Optimo is a Glasgow based record label who have been running for a long time. It sounds plausible but I've not heard any evidence either way about the BoC connection.

JD Twitch (and Jonny Wilkes ) generally are a very good ear to the ground of anything that's been, or is happening in Scotland. Brilliant guys and thoroughly recommend checking them out.
