the percussion on this record is so heavy overall...
there is a theme for sure running throughout the whole thing with regards to the sound of the snares ... they sound alive
some of my favorite rhythms in particular are the voices on Sick Times that are calling out in a way that sounds like turntables scratching

One of my favorite moments in Tomorrow's Harvest is during Split Your Infinities - at about 1:45 in when the 2 chord pattern kind of settles in to the lower (minor) chord and this 16 beat pattern begins to materialize... there are many layers cycling together here like a perfect little storm.. and then it breaks up revealing a Major arpeggio that was hiding under all that chaos.
That 16 beat pattern in the eye of the storm is a highlight of this album.

I love the drums on new seeds, they sound like theyve been live recorded in a really nice space with 2 performers, either that or theyve got a quality reverb unit on there working really subtely. I hadn't even thought to pay attention to the drums on this track until a night in with a considerable dose of fungi, they're mesmorising and so organic sounding, I think its actually my favourite track on the album!

it carries so much, while on the surface it's so simple, but I feel that they put a lot in it, complete madnessedit also Semena Mertvykh, that drone sounds almost like a shiver... also the end of Reach For The Dead, that "beatbox" like at the end, uhh, there's so much in this album!

All of Sick Times but from 2:15 til the end is subtly sublime. All about the Tambourine and Hi-hat.
