Easy enough to make your own

Download Audacity (or Paulstretch) and you'll be able to slow any tune down by the required amount in seconds.

In A Beautiful Place at 33 rpm is where it's at.

I've recorded proper time stretched versions of that as well as Alpha and Omega/Beware the Friendly Stranger at 33 rpm. I did it awhile back when I experimented with playing the records at different speeds. I'll post the links soon.

You know, I don't normally go for the "trick" edits of BoCs stuff, once you get over the first 5 minutes of hearing something backwards to pick out the bits that are reversed and go "huh that's interesting", it's like... play things how they're meant to be played?!

But goddamn if this doesn't make it so clear how much love and detail goes into a track like this. I can't imagine the work... wow. This was already maybe my favourite track on Geogaddi, but every sound is honed and alive. It's just got quality written all the way through it like a stick of rock.

Might be in the minority here but I think this sounds pretty crap compared to the original.

A good friend of mine is a BOC fan as well. One day he heard me listening to Alpha & Omega on CD and said "what did you do to that track? Speed it up?" I said no, I'm listening on a CD. He had been listening to Geogaddi for over a year at 33rpm, not realizing his vinyl player was set incorrectly. Ha!

Oh, and the bongos on this track are TO DIE FOR!

I've heard this slowed before and I've always thought it sounds like the soundtrack to a porno.

On the subject of BoC track at altered speeds, yesterday I played the Hi Scores EP at 45rpm, it sounded like one of the most energetic, happy electronic EPs I've heard recently.

You can really easily make it yourself. Get Audacity and select the Change Speed effect, then set the "Standard Vinyl rpm" from 45 to 33 1/3.
