What are some of the weirdest BoC facts?

After reading someone say that the percussion on An Eagle In Your Mind was part of a sample of Mike's girlfriend, I started to ponder what other weird little subtleties from the brothers lives are in their music... Any other weird examples? I know that the sound at the beginning of Kid For Today is a slide projector clicking, and a few others, like how apparently they name all of their songs after specific incidents that happened to them (ex. I believe they said Smokes Quantity was the nickname of one of their friends). Just kind of a broad topic that interests me.

Hey maybe he posted here, on a FORUM, so that he could bring up a great conversation topic and spark some good exchange between forum members^
These are the Boards of Canada forums after all.
So, mopinggnome, when you ask, "what's that?" Instead of giving you the definition of "that" by literally handing you a dictionary, how about we talk about some weird things in Boards of Canada's music!
In the track You Could Feel the Sky, there is this WONDERFUL sample (in reverse) of a demonic-esque voice saying either "God with horns" or "God with hooves" or both. However, the in the words he says is actually a really squashed sample of a woman screaming but it sounds like an .
There's plenty of more extreme ones, I'm sure others will mention.

In Pete Standing Alone, around the 4:00 minute mark or so, I am convinced I hear a sample of a large stone being slid across another large stone. Anyone else hear this? Its not exactly that weird I suppose but I hadn't heard it before the other day.

I can totally hear that. It may be the sound of someone sharpening a knife on a sharpening stone.

Nothing is real has a whole thread in itself of such things.
I can still listen a year and a half later and find more hidden treasure in the mix.

ah, yes, thank you Yellow Records, as it was my first topic post on here.
all the weird religious samples throughout Geogaddi are so good. Like in "Dawn Chorus" there's the girl saying "she might be dead" followed by the cries of "Mary, Mary, Mary..."
it's so eerie

I think what green calx might have meant is that anything that might be posted here is far more than likely already covered by (1) other threads, or (2) bocpages.org - and in great detail!
No mods have commented/locked it, so it's probably fine.. but I don't think anyone wants twoism to turn into an echo chamber either

If you draw lines in space from the moon to the Great Pyramid of Giza, the stepped pyramid of Chichen Itza and Hexagon Sun studios, then trace those lines back they all converge on the same place: the moon.
