Piss Crowns Are Trebled is absolutely epic.
They played it during their last shows, known as "Behemot"

The stream effed up in the middle of Piss Crowns and killed the build, unfortunately. Will have to try this again soon. After 'Don't bend...' this does seem a lot less majestic and quite dreary. Not necessarily a bad thing, though,

Cool. I got confirmation that my copy is getting sent out so I'll wait for it to arrive. Has been difficult to concentrate on it with my headphones on at work.

Haven't listened yet but my bff Logan says they used a little too much dynamic compression on this one--hope it's still got enough of the quiet godspeed flare!!

It's kind of structured the same as 'don't bend' in that it's two long tracks and two drones which make up much of the quiet. Sounds lovely though and Piss Crowns is RIGHTEOUS.

Yeah, this is sounding really, really good. They never fail to deliver. I've only just got all their albums on wax into my collection, now I will have to add one more. I loved 'Don't Bend' so hopefully this is on par with that.

Aye, pretty monumental back catalogue they have now. I love all their album artwork too, I really think it adds another dimension to a band when they're artwork is cohesive with the sound they're making. All of Godspeed's stuff tick that box very well, same with Tim Hecker.

What's your format for Godspeed overall? I heard the vinyl is noisy

I have them all on vinyl except the latest album, as with any quiet music on vinyl it's not going to be perfect and there will be some surface noise, but there is something cool about this ferocious music on wax, the kinetic energy of the needle and record makes it more immediate and in keeping with their aesthetic/ethic, I think. That said, I think all of my Godspeed records are pretty good pressings so I haven't had much trouble, plus I have an RCM and keep em in good shape in general so it's not so much of a problem. I also keep all of their stuff as Lossless FLAC on my computer, so it's good either way. I kinda do that with all my music though, and if I really love an album, I get the CD as well. Very pedantic, but it's good to have the option.

Thanks for the reply,
have read some negative reviews on the vinyl, was planning to get Lift your skinny fists on wax.

Totally worth it for the gorgeous sleeve, I also recommend 'Allelujah' too. Great albums to have on vinyl

Wouldn't normally say go to Amazon, but they are doing it for a reasonable price right now. But, try and see if a local shop can get it in for you?
