Which BOC track does this sound like? I swear it sounds just like another and I can't find the sound in all of my BOC stuff.

No idea. Could be multiple things you're thinking of. 84 Pontiac Dream, Left Side Drive, Odd Nosdam remix of Davan Cowboy come to mind. Not hearing You Could Feel the Sky quite so much. Anyways there's a gritty percussion element that reminds me of Left Side Drive and the ambience has that muffled sort of thing going on like the other two so those are my best guesses without thinking about it too much.

I mean I'm not sure what you mean by "thoughts"...you're not sure you've found it with 84?

Doesnt really sound like BoC to me. Except the rhythm is kind of similar to Kid For Today just I dunno, with how its swingified. But minus the slide projector. Which is kind of the point of that track.

I almost feel like 5:04 is the "point" of that track.

I think Zoetrope is the best track altogether but that sound is the best single part of IABPOITC.

Yeah, wasn't quite sure I found it and wanted to see if anyone else had ideas. I was thinking the bright distorted synth and chord progression seemed very familiar.

TBH, it doesn't sound like any specific track. BOC use a slightly similar chord progression in many of their tracks. My mate and I noticed this when we were first getting into them. They tend to find a winning melodic formula and roughly keep to it. A perfect example of this is the one used in Olson. Have you ever noticed how Olson's progression appears in other tracks? I can't think of which ones of the top of my head as it's been a while since I thought about it.

Farewell Fire. Actually, this sounds a LOT like Farewell Fire.

The sound of this reminds me of you could feel the sky, along with others songs.

The widescreen atmospherics at the start remind me of Diving Station, and the melody has a BOC feel to it but yeah Farewell Fire is probably the closest

Sounds most like the beginning of Left Side Drive to me. Ambienty stuff going on, those scratchy drums...
