AFOT - POLL - PRELIMINARY ROUND

Due to the amount of tracks on this release, there will be a preliminary round where you pick your FOUR favourite tracks. The tracks with the most votes will then go through to a knockout poll. This should reduce a 3 week process down to a more manageable week long process.

As it's Bank Holiday weekend, this poll will run for 3 days, giving everybody every chance to submit.

Cheers :)

I fucked this up already. I voted for my two least favorite. That explains a lot about these results. Can I have another try?

If it can't be reset, then I would like you to know that my favorites are House of Abin'adab, She Is P, King of Carnival, and Nova Scotia Robots. That was not easy to decide. The ones I accidentally voted for are Light, Clear Hair and Devil.

Also, I question the inclusion of I Love U since it's exactly the same as The Color Of The Fire (which was already featured in the MHTRTC knockout poll). Then again it doesn't look like it's gonna make it to the first round so maybe there wasn't much point to bringing that up.

Oh yeah, and P.C. is the best track ever.

The King of Carnival needs more love. Those chords are so beautiful. It's like BoC's Tha.

So far (and considering drillkickers post), 5/9/78, Spectrum, She is P and Finity are winning.

Well it's nice that one of my voted trax is up there, even if it isn't my #1 favorite.

Sad to see House of Abin'adab get so little love, amazing short track in my opinion. The winners definitely are deserving though

Boqurant was so underrated in this poll. I guess it doesn't stand on its own too much but I ALWAYS listen to it (and Sequoia) before 5.9.78. To me they are almost a suite of music the same way that Sac > Blockbusters > I Will Get it Tattooed is. Boqurant is like the come up of a psychedelic experience before the bliss of 5.9.78 hits. You love it because of the anticipation of what's coming next.

100% agreed. I absolutely love the track on it's own, I feel like it has such a strong mood surrounding it. But when it gets enveloped by the luscious opening chords of 5.9.78, it's indescribable.
