The first one. Took me a while to understand what was happening, but at some point, the album made sense. It was 2003, i think.

My vote goes to the old tunes. I absolutely love the vivid soundscapes and layering within their released discog, but nothing quite compares to the melodic focus and childish innocence of those early tapes for me.

The R35 tape is my favorite by far. There are so many good tracks on there, and most of my favorite BoC tracks are on that one and Old Tunes. I very rarely find myself listening to any of their official releases, despite owning nearly all of them on vinyl. The old tapes are just so good that I never feel the urge to play the newer stuff.

Considering that Geogaddi is probably my favorite album out of any band, I'mma have to go with that.

Listening to Geogaddi, my fave, for the first time in a couple months and my brain is tingling, I can feel the molecules of my bones moving, constant motion everywhere...my brain stem is pulsing. Oh my God.
