I sent a friend of mine the remix the day it came out, and he was like, oh, I already knew about it. I don't really talk to the friend alot anymore, but apparently he is friends with doseone now. They worked together on a thing called supergamejam or something.

He knew I was a very, very, big fan of Boards of Canada, and he didn't even tell me. And for some reason, I still gave him an invitation to my wedding. I'm such a fool!

You know what's funny though? About two months ago I went to a market to buy some fruit and the cashier noticed the Boc shirt I was wearing. She said "Are Boards of Canada still doing stuff? Like are they touring again?" I responded with "Nah they're not touring, but they came out with a new album a few years ago." She then said "Yeah, I remember hearing about the album but that doesn't surprise me. My friend apparently recently met one of them at a bar in Idaho, apparently that's where they are right now." I was kind of surprised, but chatted with her for a few more minutes and then went on my way.

So obviously the random conversation I had with a complete stranger about their supposed friend isn't very credible, but that's kind of an interesting coincidence...

It's not totally crazy to be honest. That's pretty much due south of where they lived when they spent in Canada as children. I posted that map from Montana that had something like 5 or 6 locations that ended up as song titles on Hooper Bay and Maxima a couple months ago...and that's right next door.

It's interesting to know that my BoC is coming from the same place as my potatoes. Maybe I can have them shipped together when the next album is out.

Now I know what crop they were harvesting!

sure them lads are travelling all over the place, not much work getting done. who'd blame them. probably bring some
handy instruments with them. they'd have friends asking them to go here there and everywhere, none of these friends
will bark as they won't be friends anymore if they did. its a normal life, friends, family. think of all the people we don't know
ourselves, thats they way they want it and should have it that way.

I missed this thread for some reason. BoC in Idaho? Is that even possible? Doing what?
I am wondering if they went to the U.S. with a work permit or a tourist visa or what. For a European to live in the U.S. they need some kind of visa. It is not like going from Spain to Belgium and staying there for years.
