Twoism friends!
I'm happy to share with you, after nearly three years of work, my new album 'Two Zero Five'.
Basically a concept album, in 21 tracks, nearly 70 minutes and divided into four chapters, it follows a protagonist dealing with an increasingly fleeting perception of reality.
Not going to write about the music itself here so just have a listen!
And since this forum and its members have always supported my music over the years I want to give away a bunch free download codes, so drop me a message if you want one!

I REALLY love the drum work on "seven elevating". In fact all the songs I previewed have really spectacular beats.

Well done! I'm loving what I've heard so far and I'll listen to the rest when I get home

Just finished my first listen! The attackless, stretched piano of 'It Never Happened' just faded away. Great finale!
'Don't Wake Up' was a big highlight for me; it really put me in that state of not wanting to wake up from a great dream, knowing it *is* a dream, and feeling myself being pulled away from it. MBV vibes!
'Breach' is big & crackly! The wub is brilliant and drives relentlessly forward!!
The last 30 seconds of 'Reflector', as the notes lose their integrity, great moment!
'The Vanishing (205)' is another highlight, hearkening back to, in a clever way, the glory days of late 1990s/early 2000s IDM, but the melody here transcends most of the material from that era.
I can tell you poured a lot of yourself into this one. Look forward to more listens in the near future

Thanks! It's really a bit of everything, I record a lot of my own samples, but it's also slicing/editing/rearranging loops and breaks and picking samples from a ridiculously large library I compiled over the years. On this album in particular a lot of heavy layering was involved, especially on tracks like Ord Map and Seven Elevating. With The Vanishing I basically turned various non-musical objects intro percussion and synths, like using a patch created from an old electric shaver for the chords and melody. I also used Arturia's Microbrute analog synth a lot, as well as their CS-80 emulation.

Nice, it sounds like you have a lot of the same equipment as me. I mainly use samplers to create my own sounds via layering and drums using all sorts of found sounds. Had a MicroBrute but it got stolen. I miss that thing to pieces. Using a Bass Station II now for mono analogue duties.

Sorry to hear that, really love the sound and feel of the Microbrute! Heard the Bass Station II is pretty sweet too though.

damn Scyye, you can't just drop AOTY only a month in!

but really, this is a absolute achievement. It's so fascinating to hear an artist really come into their stride, kinda how it must have felt to see the progression BoC made from MHTRTC to Geogaddi.

My two favorites are Burst, because the synth is so perfectly dark and mixes well with the droning background synths, and Terminal Tomorrow, because I didn't know a artist could make me feel so many emotions in one track. The many elements of the instrumentation are really different in style (hip hop drums, a hazy, airy synth encapsulating the whole thing that swoops down from time to time, the boC-reminiscent (I mean that in the best way) bell-synths, and the perfect dissonant chord at :48), but come together in a way that's seriously something to behold. Makes me feel reflective, happy, sad, all while grooving along to a A+ beat. Just genius. I was up so late last night listening to this on my good speakers my brother had to come down at 3am and tell me to use headphones or something. That's how engrossed I've been with this release lately!

I'll might write up a more detailed description of why I like each track, but suffice it to say here that this is a huge step forward not just in your discography, but for everyone making electronic music. Seriously. It's a perfect example of how to blend genres to create something totally new and fresh, yfm?

This is very well done. There are some major to minor harmonies here I think need further exploration/movement, its particularly present in reboot. The overal concept could have been fleshed out a bit more. You're damn close to perfection, scyye!

I need more replies in this thread because this album is spectacular. I listen to it a lot when I need to calm myself down...I told Danny this, but I listened to it while I was driving in less than perfect winter driving conditions and there were so many terrible drivers, but this album allowed me to stay calm through it.

Just want to let you know that I've listened to it and that I like it . It's just that I want to make a decent post about it but that I don't come around actually doing it. This results in not responding at all sometimes so I have to learn just to post "like it!"

There is just too much good stuff out there (where twoism artists have a special place in my heart) but time isn't on my side as much as I wish for a decent listen/feedback.

And yes I totally get that, usually takes me forever to actually sit down and give thorough comments on other music.
