OK, close3 is probably just Cold Earth edited in some weird way, though I must admit, Helios sounds kinda cool

For one the track times don't match according to the track times on discogs. But, Close3 is one second shy and the same for Helios sound.

Now, Found the Way is one second shy of what's on discogs too but i faked it so it could be the real deal cos i've been to redmoon and seen BoC at all their shows and they say fakes are just as good as the real deal becuase i've slept at the Hexagon Sun studio and it looks like a pawn shop, yogert shoppe what you wanna call it and marcus told me i could replace michael. And it all boils down to this.

Boards of Canada are not going to release a new album until 2017 because they need to know who the next president of the United States is going to she bernie sanders. And i did a remix of an eagle in your mind and for the fact that it's 96 bpm. I came to a time in Cubase and i had a marker at the 217 mark meaning the next album is coming 2017. Several markers before that proved to me when they release and album and all times throughout the song an eagle in your mind pointed to this conclusion. So, don't let the ball roll, slow your roll what have you. TBH, "OK" NVM.

These have been brought up before IIRC, and they're most likely fakes.

The 'Helios Sound' track I've had for some time. Really nice and I'd love to know where it actually came from!

Pretty sure these are fakes I'm afraid, both of them sound very much digitally produced.

These have been floating around for years, I think they first sprung up on Soulseek around 2004. In at least one instance later on there was also a "Close4" bundled with them that was confirmed to be something from Half Life 2, but these three have still yet to be identified. If they are indeed the real deal, the brothers and mdg haven't said anything on the matter.

As for the "digitally produced" side of things, remember that Closes was re-issued on CD (in extremely limited numbers) the same year as Music Has The Right To Children, at which point they probably could have cleaned it up and remastered it. Also, compare the synths in Helios Sound to the ones in the right channel of Audiotrack A06/5D at around 2:57.

Hertz HZ almost certainly didn't make these, he probably found them on Soundcloud and just reuploaded them to bolster his credibility. What I really wanna know is where he's pulling his footage from.

These tracks are already well known and have yet to be debunked. Several threads have been made here about them and they reappear regularly. There is no way of knowing for sure whether they're fake or real, but I personally think the track labeled Focus on the Spiral sounds nearly identical to something BoC would have done back then. If it's a fake, then the person who made it really knows early BoC. Anyway, they're all good tracks and I certainly don't mind listening them regardless of the author(s).

That hex on Close3 translates to:
Sandisons are Asleep, Post the Leaks.

I just noticed that Close3 has voices in the background. Can anyone understand them ? They're definitely reversed.

Update : after playing it in reverse it's definitely something in a southern English accent, but I can't tell what it's saying due to the loud foreground. It's actually played both forward and in reverse, the same as the melody. The track is made up of one loop that's being switched between reversed playback and normal playback. It's definitely interesting and seems like something BoC would have experimented with during that era.
