If he did in fact use a Cheetah MS800, maybe it sounds something like this. This keyboard uses the same chip as the MS800, apparently.

Yeah... forget about vintage analog. Vintage digital is the new thing! Maybe that is what he's making fun of with this magazine ad promotion-- how so many people get caught up in marketing and trends when it comes to music technology.

I think it's going to be a collection of some of his soundcloud tracks and new stuff. He had a few tracks on one of his accounts a while ago called "Cheetah3" and "Cheetah5" or something along those lines. He responded to a users comment saying he'd be putting out an EP of stuff like those tracks. That was awhile ago though, he removed all of the songs from that account again...

Edit, 5 minutes later: I give up. There is literally no visual feedback except a two-digit led panel and it's sorta like assembly in a way.

checked out the bbc radio 6 2 hour set of his stuff including the whole ep, it sounds delightful

Vinyl just arrived. The CIRKLON tracks are really nice! The CHEETAH tracks are a bit too bare-bones but maybe they'll grow on me.

Ordered a copy of this, haven't listened yet. Blew my mind that the cassette was the only thing sold out! Are cassettes coming back into style?

He's playing Houston in December at Day/Night fest. OMFG.
