Posting here because I know Rykard was very much influenced by Boards of Canada and has his second album coming out on the 17th of September called Luminosity. Rykard's first album Arrive the Radio Beacon was released in 2010 and has done exceptionally well over the past few years with standout tracks like North Cormorant Obscurity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6Rp70OWLrs

Rykard's second album Luminosity is a great followup to Arrive the Radio Beacon and brings a lot of BoC influence to the mix. Currently pre-orders are available for anyone interested in the digital release on Sept 17th, but we also have limited CD's coming Oct 17th and after a super limited 12" vinyl pressing for the collectors out there coming soon after.

I like North Cormorant Obscurity but it's not consistant with the entire record being as emotional. With the new one i'm not as impressed. Best of wishes to you friend!

hunyamunya PLEASE get a Bandcamp page; I was bugging Rykard about this on FB because I only recently discovered the previous album and would love to have the option to buy it in a lossless format (do not like iTunes or Amazon because of restrictive formats)!

Would it be possible to preorder the vinyl when the digital release comes out (and get a download)? I'd like to get the vinyl but would prefer not to have to wait a couple of months to hear the album.

It's rad to see that Rykard is still out there making tunes, and that people are apparently still quite feelin it! I never got the chance to speak to the dude 1 on 1, but I remember him back from when we both released music on the possibly now defunct Dedpop netlabel in 2009
