That was the version that was on Aquarius.

Sounds the same to me. Except it is much cleaner and digital sounding.
It probably just sounds different because the version that's been floating around the net for years was a transfer from vinyl.. and who knows what kind of eq settings were done to it?
So my guess is that this is what it's supposed to sound like (on cd) - the actual Boards mix.

It's the same, they just chose a sort of odd place to begin the sample.
Nice to have a high quality digital rip of this track for the first time. Just like the fakesch remix when it came up on bleep.

Looks like he's not been around for about five years now.

i was thinking of this too. Skam website sells mp3s of Hi Scores, so why not offer us a crispy digital version of Chinook?
maybe anyone willing to make a "remaster" of a vinyl rip? I have two different lossless rips of the 7", but they both sound rather noisy to me. is it okay to share them here?

skam had both tracks from the "aquarius" single available as direct-from-studio-masters MP3s at one point in the past, though it seems as though they've been taken down since. they are much better than the vinyl rips and i was lucky enough to purchase both when they were available.

Could you consider sharing them please? A pm would totally make my day, I guess they can't be just posted in the thread. I would buy them if I just could, but what gives..

the one on skam site is the b side of the aquarius single.
maxima = 4:50
aquarius = 7:24

Hi,
Does anybody know how I can get hold of the digital version of Chinook that was once available to download from skam?
The reason I ask is because I thought I had a legitimate copy but it sounds like a vinyl rip to me...? I don't quite know how that happened.
I'm more than happy to pay for it from a legitimate source...
If there isn't an official download, would anybody be kind enough to forward a copy and I'll be happy to pay for a track I already own on the Bleep site, just to contribute?
Many thanks
P

I bought the mp3s from Skam in 2006. I will have to check them out when I get home next week.
