I am a prolific music digger/researcher and have been fascinated by Endtroducing ever since it came out. However, over the years I've never quite found anything that matches the 'vibe' I get from the album. The three things that are important for me:

1) Sampled drums, little programming 2) A real ambient vibe 3) Not too fast

'Midnight in a perfect world' is exactly the sound I love. However whenever looking for similar artists they are usually either too fast, too processed/programmed, or even worse, have lyrics!

Am looking for that beautiful, organic sound. Am open to other genres and new things too, so please be open with your suggestions.

Hmm this strikes me as borderline jazz/funk but you might like Tosca's albums and Bonobo's earlier work...maybe Four Tet and even Animal Collective if you're crazy that way.

Wow, thanks for the Shadow comparison! I'm flattered! BTW, my new LP is coming out this summer on Anette Records. It will be a tribute to HP Lovecraft, but I tried to keep the same recipe if you enjoyed the last LP. MPC + Raw drums + ambient samples.

endtroducing is one of my all time favorite albums, it honeslty helped mold the type of music that i listen to today. if you want something with a similar vibe, here are a few artists i highly recommend.

That sounds great. Read a lot of Lovecraft in my youth. Please let us know on here when it drops. Is it getting a limited vinyl pressing like before?

Weirdly… Jada Paige - The Fantastic Adventures of SEXDICK OST

Damn we really necrobumpin' out here, but for posterity I think it's worth noting that DJ Shadow's Preemptive Strike is a compilation of Endtroducing-era b-sides and non-album singles, and it absolutely carries the same vibe as that record. Probably the closest you're gonna get.

I'd also throw in the two DJ Signify albums (Of Cities and Sleep No More) for more of that nocturnal instrumental hip-hop goodness.
