I haven't posted here in a while, but after a discussion on the BoC Facebook page this evening, I'm gaging numbers for a possible get together (maybe becoming a regular thing) in Birmingham. I've set up an Eventbrite page purely to find out interested numbers - nothing is definite as of yet - as this would impact the venue it would be held at. I've wanted to host something like his for quite some time, and now I'm running my own business, I can do whatever the hell I like

The whole event would revolve around listening sessions for all four BoC albums, via a high quality audio system.

Zero rules broken and I'm already signed up. As I mentioned last night, this sounds like a great idea and as our own events have shown, people will travel crazy distances for these things.

There's no date set for this as yet as I'm trying to get an idea of numbers, but please do sign up via the Eventbrite link in the original post - once I have a good idea on numbers, I'll seek a suitable venue, and hold it when it is convenient for all who have signed up

Oh man, used to live up that way in Warwick! Would love to make it but don’t think I can around that time. Hopefully you’ll get more peeps interested, sounds like a great idea and hopefully it could become an annual thing!

As I've mentioned, and I've tried to make clear on Eventbrite - the Eventbrite sign up is purely to gauge numbers! Ignore the date - I had to put a date in, so I just put in the release date for Campfire Headphase! The date for the event has not been set!

The event itself will be in the planning stage as soon as I get an idea of numbers - that currently stands at 20, so my initial search for a venue will be based on 25 people. I can't guarantee a spot for those that don't sign up now - if 15 people crawl out the woodwork once the planning has been finalised, they may well miss out. Those who have signed up will be given options for dates so that hopefully they can all attend.

I'll be announcing some updates over the next few days.

System is sorted, just waiting on confirmation for the venue I've inquired about...

Unfortunately the original venue I had in mind is a no go due to some party poopers. I'm looking at alternatives though, so will post if I have any updates.

Unfortunately, trying to book a venue at this time of year is a little tricky. I tried a couple of others, but it's a busy time of year, what with office parties and stuff starting to happen, so larger venues tend to be already booked.

I've cancelled the page and orders on the Eventbrite page (don't want people turning up out of the blue!). Altogether, there were 27 tickets ordered, which I don't think is bad for a short notice, niche event like this. Anyone who signed up for the event, I've retained email addresses to let them know of any future event I'm able to put on.

If I can't get anything sorted for February or March, I'll definitely set something up for next November. I'll be back...

April 20th 2018 would be a good day for a BoC event - the 20th anniversary of the release of MHTRTC in the UK...the day before Record Store Day.
