Personally I feel it is between 60% - 80% (but closer to 80)
It would be interesting to hear reasons as to why people think it is likely/ unlikely.

As they said that the wait would be shorter between albums this time, I feel 2018 would be a pretty reasonable year to expect a release, whether it takes the form of an EP or an LP

50/50 between the very end of this year, and right on 5/5 next year. I don't see us going past 2018 without a release. Without going into specifics about the reasons for 5/5 (those are discussed elsewhere, of course) it would also be a nice nod to Telepath (fiiiiive)- and yes, I realize its a Saturday, but if Warp will release an album on New Years Day for Eno, they would do this for BoC.

I think in an interview, Marcus talked about his desire to put something into their music that would only make sense years later (can't find the quote now) so I would say this qualifies for something like that.

Anyone else think that the 0% vote was MDG?

You've got to remember, when BoC were in their heyday, they'd pretty much release an album every few years with an EP drop in-between.

100%, but what month. And all we can do really is hope. Cos none of us truly are... Boards of Canada.

I for one am looking forward to listening to it and having a good laugh about all this speculation with a pint of sherbet along with some friends around a nice late summer bonfire

Oh I remember. These are not those days though. Dont get me wrong more music from them would be great, but thats not how it has been for a while now.
