I’ve mentioned this album in the Amazing Music 2017 thread but it really does merit a thread of its own.

This has been one of the best years I can remember for ages new music, but this album is album-of-the-year material.

Trance-y, folky, Moroccan gnawa*, psychedelic spiritual free-jazz influenced SOUND.

* - if you haven’t heard Morocccan gnawa music, you really should.

but seriously I heard the teaser track for this and it sounded pretty fantastic. It's on my phone and I'll be listening to it soon, so I'll be in with my opinions after then.

Yes Soul, this is a great album!

I struggle a bit with the free-jazz saxophone squawking but there's some lovely stuff on here when I can tune it out.
