I haven't heard any of their previous performances but it's in my hood so I will go along.

Why do all of these have to take place in Europe? If this were anywhere in the US, I would road-trip to see it without a second thought.

Now you know how we felt when America got Lake Dolores
If you include the DJ Food show there does seem to be something of a trend emerging here. Interesting it's not happened sooner really. Wonder why that might be? Coincidence? MHTRTC turning 20? Or something else..

Ironically I wasn't in the country for that, either, or I would have driven the ~25 hours without a second thought.
Yeah, there's definitely been a trend of a lot of BoC-related events happening lately. I can't help but feel it's building up to something. And even if it has something to do with the 20th anniversary of MHTRTC, I think Warp's marketing division would recognize that it's a good time to cash in on the renewed interest for a new release. BoC have been keeping more active than they were between TCH and TH as well, what with jumping back into doing fairly regular remixes.
Maybe some grounds for hope...?

Stargaze have actually played in the US a few times before, most recently at Bon Iver's Eaux Claires festival. There's some videos on YouTube from the festival of them doing some great BOC covers. I'm sure they'll come back though, I would't mind catching a performance of theirs

Judging only by fan-shot YouTube clips, the Stargaze Hi-Scores performance is way cooler than the MHTRTC gamelan stuff in Camden.
I'd probably swing by if Edinburgh wasn't such a trek, but it seems like a lot of effort just to see an EP being covered.

Yeah feels like something is being curated behind the scenes doesn't it?

Outstanding performance tonight. They played a couple of extra tracks which if I remember correctly were Melissa Juice, Happy Cycling and they had the whole crowd join in with their cover of Olson at the end. I would recommend going if they announce any other dates. They also said they have made a recording of their BOC covers and plan to release it if BOC allow. There was a moment where the conductor said "maybe they are here tonight" and there was a bit of noise in the upper seating with some pointing. I hope they were in attendance because I think they would agree it was a great performance.

I agree Mikey, a fantastic gig. Had a big smile on my face from beginning to end.

That crows singalong for Olson is special.
Really hope they put a few more of these shows on.
And BOC, if you're reading - I know you know this already - but there is so much love for you and your music.
I truly hope you can find whatever you need to make some shows a reality one day.
This and the DJ Food shows prove it can be done in a beautiful way x

Wow, I'm not usually into covers of IDM (the aphex alarm will sound stuff is cool in concept but since one of the main draws of idm for me is the unique production, i was like, eh), but this is actually impressive. the arrangments of turquoise hexagon sun and hi scores in particular were really gourgeous.

Awesome! Thank you so much! Is there any chance I could ask you to enable downloads? I'd be extremely grateful.
