I wonder what y'all think of SpongeBob. I've been a longtime fan since I was pretty much born lmao. (I mean it's pretty obvious to tell by my username and my site links ). I still follow up with the show, but I'm admittedly not that big on the direction the show's been going on for a loooong time. A lot of people are into the current era (season 9b-present), but it feels like a try hard Ren and Stimpy (and hot take, I was never a fan of Ren and Stimpy). There's still some episodes I like but I've always been a Pre-Movie fan. Seasons 1-4, maybe 5 are the ones I like the best.

I'm also obsessed with Squidward. He's probably my favorite cartoon character ever. Too bad he isn't written good anymore, hence why I do stupid Squidward crossovers with other things I like for fun. (Embarsssing, I know. But hey it's a fun hobby to keep my bad health occupied, as I suffer with Tourette's and OCD and junk).

So uhh yeah, you got any favorite seasons or episodes? Can You Spare a Dime is my personal favorite.

I do rather like the older episodes of Spongebob, yes.

I love the first season a lot! One thing I find really strange is that there's quite a few SpongeBob fans (younger ones) on Twitter who dislike season one.

Spongebob was good until after the movie, IMO.

After the movie, it just started... decomposing? Is that the right word?

Damn. Can't believe Stephen Hillenburg already passed from his diagnosis for ALS. It really killed my mood on Tuesday. He passed the night a week after my birthday. He will be truly missed, he's the reason why I got into animation and one of the reasons to why my childhood was a blast. He also created my favorite cartoon character of all time, Squidward.

The cartoon as a whole was pretty good. Don't know if it still exist.

Can confirm it still exists but I'm not as big on it though like I used to be. I still see what the show does still and rarely does it impress me. I don't know if it'll ever get up to pre-movie quality ever again. It's a bit too zany for my taste with this new era and I hope they chill with that style someday. I appreciate the fluid animation and some expressions though, I just wish it was better written with humor, story and characters.

Really sad news about Stephen. Great show.

My favorite of all time is Spongebob Meets the Strangler. Seriously had a perfect balance of dark humor, but keeping it light enough for everyone at the same time.

Another moment that comes to mind is in Gary Takes a Bath. The infamous 'don't drop them' joke, lol! Nickelodeon must've adored Stephen Hillenburg to pieces for actually letting him get away with that.
