This popped up today in my twitter alerts While I was pondering purchasing one I refreshed the bleep website and they had sold out, in something like 20 mins!!
Could it be Boc? Listen to the sound clips on the website and judge for yourself. If it's not then please move this topic elsewhere.

It would be the polar opposite of the TH campaign. Just a quiet release without a name/ anything.
Doesn't sound much like BoC to me, though. More likely to be AFX, but is a tad too dancy for that.

Agree. The "Not sure" was mostly as to whether it was AFX or not.
A lot of people in the comments etc seem to say that it is possibly BoC, but that would be a hell of a shift in style.
It doesn't have that natural tone to it and I don't really get many BoC vibes at all from it, but I can see why that keyboard section might have made one believe that it could possibly be.

Purely based on colour palette definitely not the lads.

I agree that it doesnt sound too much like BoC. A little bit yes. And honestly, I like the samples, whoever it is. Wish I could have grabbed it.

It was confirmed to be Brainwaltzera because one or two of the tracks had been put on SoundCloud in the past.

Why would anyone think for a second this might be Boards of Canada? They would never release something in this way. This style of marketing is for artists who thrive on imitating other artists and only gain recognition after deliberately issuing mysterious tracks that people foolishly mistake for the work of more established musicians.

The distinctive BOC sound has been severely cheapened by countless knock-offs and fakes. It shows a transparent lack of artistic integrity for those who strive only to deceive. Where is the originality, the experimentation, the self-expression?

I do agree that its better to make up new unique things as any type of artist, but sometimes its nice to have a few options for a certain (in our case very specific) style of music. I love Boards and 99% of the music they make, but its nice to hear similar stuff too.
