I was actually going to type 'such a shame' without realising...and then it dawned on me it would look like a joke...I'm genuinely gutted.
Probably the only person I could genuinely call a musical hero of mine.
I've read quite a few people online, including Guy Garvey of Elbow, say they would want this played at their funeral -
RIP Mark, thanks for the life-changing, life-enhancing music.

OMFG! I had no idea. Genuinely tearing up...
I fell in love to The Colour of Spring, found solace in Spirit of Eden after the loss of my father, Laughing Stock soundtracked the early days of becoming a father myself, and the Mark Hollis album understood me during some very dark times. Can't believe he's gone for good.

Gotta say, Talk Talk has always been on my 'to listen' list. Maybe this sad news is the right time to get around to finally doing that...

Well said:) Please avoid the compilations tho - they are all pointless cash cows. The four studio albums I mentioned above are essentially all you'll ever need. Prepare for epiphanies . . .
